About ‘The Memento Directive’

What it is:
The Memento Directive is an independent publishing page owned by a single admin. It is a collective abstract of personal essays, prose fiction, open or personal letters, social critiques and critical explorations. The term ‘Memento’ derives from the context of paying homage to forgotten elements of memory, experiences, and emotions. A lot of the broad themes it touches on include history, the Pakistani lens in terms of the writing culture there, womanhood, female rage, the brown girl experience, abstract prose derived from various forms of mythology, love, and external viewpoints in conversational pieces, among others. It also touches on social critiques regarding South Asian communities and representation, feminism, legal critiques and deep dives.

About the publisher:
The owner of ‘The Memento Directive’ is a woman in her 20s who is an avid reader, writer, paralegal, and law student. That’s all you need to know :)

About the published pieces on it:
All work published by ‘The Memento Directive’ Substack is owned and property of the publisher. There is only one admin that runs it; unless stated otherwise, all work belongs to the publisher.
